Its 3-ply but very thin tissue similar to 2 ply in terms of strength and absorbent ability. Not very soft. Its quilted on one side providing a rough/coarse/scratchy feel.

Overall, great value for what you get. The cot is a very comfortable size and built very sturdy. The material used for both structure and fabric are good quality. However, could not give full marks. Reason is the 2 middle joints do not lock in place very well. Once you open and press down the cot to "lock" in the 2 middle joints, they easily pop loose on its own if you move the cot in any meaningful way.

Good item for travel. Was initially happy with purchase but the price dropped by almost half the day after I put through my order for blue color. My item was grey color and price stayed the same so no price adjustment. Could have been a happier shopping experience.
