I take these small mousepads with me to use on the go in case the surface I'm using isn't quite suitable for an optical mouse. Cheap, but amazing quality

Compact Black Bluetooth 3.0 Wireless Keyboard - PrimeCables®

These do the trick if you're in a bind, but I will be honest and mention that a few keys here and there require a hard press in order to register the keystroke, so if you're not paying attention, you might end up with a typo here and there. Overall, does a decent job and it's light and portable.
