this is height adjustable and its like a permanent place on my office desk . Iphone idle time is on this during work time . Nice product , important factor to consider if you do use monitor arms and you try to place phone on this in vertical position , minimum height of this stand interferes with monitor edges .

Works exactly as desired. Padding is decent on contact surfaces with laptop. I used it for 15.6 inch macbook pro with a 45degree tilt position, screen rises to eye-level. Awesome product and nice sale price .
