I've been using these cartridges for a few years with no problems. The last time, the cartridge didn't work. The air vent was blocked & the cartridge worked fine after I cleared the hole with a piin

Instructions are incomplete and customer service is useless (believe it is a call centre reading a script and mailing canned responses). You have to reset the level monitor as Angela has said. Thanks to her and not to 123. Also you can reset the Brother monitor to get continued service from your old toner. http://tmtoner.com/support/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/44/59/how-to-refill-reset--the-brother-hl-3140cw-hl-3170cdwtoner-cartridges
