I have often purchased ink for my MFC-2710DW and never reached the 3,000 copies. I was lucky to get about 1,200-1300. Furthermore, I suspect that Brother controls the lifetime of copiers. While 123Ink as been a reliable supplier, the question is "Which side are you on?". My copier is not broken but rather programmed to function. I replaced a drum and it declared that I should replace it. You can't argue with a toaster and much less with these devious contraptions that only a computer wizard can comprehend.
