Absolutly wow. The price is low, and I saw the good ratings, so I took the chance and I did not regret it. Some cover is in platics but the important part are in stainless like other comments said. Only thing, there's a bit of water that drips at very low rate beside the dark plastic nose of the portafilter ( the metal filter on the other side of the wand). We could argue that's because of the quality of the wand, but you can actually change it like any other one portafilter. You must know a bit about coffee and grinding and compacting to use it in general, so just ask a friend or go to youtube.

First: Instructions are terrible. Why would you not rewrite them in clear and simplified language? Second: Cold coffee! The Heater plate for cups also didn’t work. Because of the poor instructions, I contacted LivingBasics to inquire if I was doing something wrong. Nope! Product doesn’t work. Sent the product back. I had to constantly remind them to check if they received the product, test the product, and confirm a refund. I even had to remind them to send a refund.

Superb coffee, easy to maintain and clean - well made (at least so far!), and we've been thrilled with this expresso machine, coffee maker, 15-bar pump, steam wand - LIVINGbasics. The only suggestion we'd make to new owners, is to steam & froth your milk first - takes about 3 - 4 minutes, and then do the coffee. That way, everything is piping hot. What can we say - the crema is fabulous!!!

the best espresso and coffee i have ever experienced. full stop. this is not an expensive machine, so it does require some TLC and some understanding of the operation. but you will be greatly rewarded. a perfect cup of espresso, every time, with the thickest, creamiest crema you have ever seen. same for the coffee. heats up in seconds! i also love that i can easily see how much water is in that huge 30 ounce tank.

I swapped the filter for a non-pressurized one and removed the plastic and silicon flap from inside the portafilter. This makes it less automatic and pressurized.
